Collaboration Needs Innovation

After studying, developing, enhancing and applying Collaborative Innovation to critical Air Force challenges for over ten years, the Wright Brothers Institute (WBI)’s IDEA Lab team concluded that it is one of the most powerful practices and processes to achieve transformational results. Every team wants collaboration and every organization wants innovation. Yet there are thousands of books, seminars and articles produced each year that focus on how to help you achieve these capabilities. So combining the two should be even harder. Surprisingly, not so!  Innovation needs Collaboration and Collaboration needs Innovation. Although WBI started to explore both separately, the IDEA Lab team discovered that they are synergistic. Actually, both are necessary if you really want to achieve transformational results and new breakthroughs.
